Description
METALLURGY CHINA – a specialised metallurgy industry exhibition held in China since 1987. In 2026 it runs 21–23 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Exhibits cover metallurgical equipment and technology, steelmaking equipment, raw and auxiliary materials, heat-treatment technology, energy-saving and environmental solutions, green energy, automation and smart technologies. Brings together steel producers, equipment and material suppliers, design and research organisations and the wider metallurgy supply chain.

Airports
Pudong Airport (PVG) — 30 km east of city center. Taxi to downtown: ¥180–250, 50–70 min. Metro Line 2: ~60 min, ¥7. Fastest: Maglev to Longyang Road, 8 min, ¥50 (¥40 with flight ticket), then Metro.
Hongqiao Airport (SHA) — 13 km west of city center. Taxi to downtown: ¥50–80, 25–35 min. Metro Line 2/10: ~30 min, ¥5. Connected to Hongqiao Railway Station — high-speed trains to Suzhou, Hangzhou, Nanjing.
Getting Around
World-class metro — 19 lines, clean, English signage. Single ride ¥3–9. Public Transport Card works on metro, buses, taxis, convenience stores. Didi ubiquitous. Maglev + Metro is the fastest from Pudong Airport to anywhere in the city.

SNIEC (Longyang Road) — Pudong. From PVG: Maglev 8 min direct — the venue is at the Maglev terminal. From SHA: Metro Line 2 direct ~50 min, or taxi ¥80–120, 35 min. NECC (Hongqiao) — from SHA: walking distance (connected terminal). From PVG: Metro Line 2 ~90 min, or taxi ¥250–300, 60 min. Shanghai Exhibition Center (Jing'an) — Metro Line 2/7, central location.
