Tianhe Airport (WUH) is 26 km north of the center. Taxi downtown (Jianghan Lu): ¥60–130, 40–50 min. Metro Line 2 to Jianghan Lu station: ~1 h, ¥2–10. Wuhan is one of China's largest railway hubs: high-speed trains to Beijing ~4 h, Shanghai ~4.5 h, Guangzhou ~4 h.

More than 12 metro lines. Buses ¥2. Didi is widely available. Wuhan is known for hot, humid summers (35–40 °C) and cool winters (0–5 °C), and many buildings lack central heating. Best time to visit: April–May and October–November.
