Suzhou has no airport of its own. Use Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA), 90 km to the east. Right next to SHA is Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (上海虹桥站). High-speed train from Hongqiao to Suzhou: 25–40 min, ¥35–55. Direct taxi: ¥200–400, 80–100 min.

Suzhou Metro has 9 lines and the network keeps expanding. Buses from ¥2. Didi is available. High-speed trains: Shanghai 20–35 min, Nanjing 1.5 h, Hangzhou 1.5–2 h. Suzhou is famous for its UNESCO-listed classical gardens, picturesque canals and centuries-old silk-making traditions. Don't miss the Humble Administrator's Garden (拙政园) and the historic Pingjiang Road (平江路).

Suzhou International Expo Center, SIP (苏州国际博览中心) — from SHA take the high-speed train to Suzhou station (25 min, ¥35–55), then a taxi ¥20–40, 25 min.
