Moscow Travel Tips — Moscow

Airports

Sheremetyevo (SVO) — 30 km northwest. Aeroexpress train to Belorussky station, 35–50 min, from ₽500; taxi ₽1,500–2,500.

Domodedovo (DME) — 45 km south. Aeroexpress to Paveletsky station, 45–55 min; taxi ₽1,800–2,800.

Vnukovo (VKO) — 30 km southwest. Aeroexpress to Kievsky station, 35–45 min; taxi ₽1,500–2,200.

Trains and taxis are the reliable options — avoid unlicensed drivers in the arrivals hall; order through Yandex Go or the official taxi desk.

Getting Around

The metro is the fastest way across Moscow: a single ride is about ₽60–75 with the Troika card, and most signage and announcements are duplicated in English. Buy a Troika card at any station ticket office and top it up as needed.

Yandex Go covers taxis and car-sharing; fixed-price airport fares are shown in the app before you confirm. Traffic peaks 8–10 am and 5–8 pm — allow extra time for Crocus Expo (Myakinino metro, line 3) during those hours.

Venues & Practicalities

Crocus Expo (Krasnogorsk, just outside the ring road) hosts Metalloobrabotka and Elektro. Reach it by metro to Myakinino — the halls are a short covered walk from the station. On-setup and opening days are the busiest; the free shuttle loops and coat checks move quickly if you arrive before 10 am.

Card payments work almost everywhere; keep a little cash only for small kiosks. Visitor badges are issued online — print or save the QR code, and carry your passport, which is checked at registration for foreign visitors.
