Canton Fair — Autumn

The Canton Fair (China Import and Export Fair) is the world's oldest and largest trade fair, held every spring and autumn in Guangzhou since 1957. The 140th autumn session runs across three phases and draws 200,000+ buyers from 220+ countries to source across virtually every product category.

It takes place at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Haizhu District — one of the largest exhibition venues on earth at over 1.6 million m², organized into four zones (Areas A, B, C and D).

The autumn fair runs in three non-overlapping phases. Your buyer badge is issued once and is valid for all three phases, but each phase requires a separate entry registration (via the app/account).

• Phase 1 · Oct 15–19 — Electronics & household electrical appliances, lighting, vehicles & spare parts, machinery & production equipment, hardware & tools, construction machinery, new energy, international pavilion, industrial automation.
• Phase 2 · Oct 23–27 — Home products, furniture, gifts & decorations, ceramics, building & finishing materials.
• Phase 3 · Oct 31 – Nov 4 — Consumer goods, textiles & garments, personal care, medical supplies, toys, food.

Pick the phase that matches your product categories above — attending the wrong week means most of the relevant manufacturers simply won't be exhibiting.

From Baiyun International Airport (CAN):

• Taxi / Didi — ¥110–200, 50–60 min.
• Metro — Line 3 from Baiyun Airport → transfer at Guangzhou Dong (Guangzhou East Railway Station) to Line 11 → to Pazhou (琶洲). Travel time ~70 min, fare ~¥10. With the opening of Line 11 (late 2024), reaching the Canton Fair has become easier: the line passes through Pazhou station, providing direct connections from Guangzhou East Railway Station and other parts of the city.
• Airport Express bus — direct shuttle from T1/T2 to the complex, every ~30 min, ~¥35, ~60 min.

During the fair, free shuttles run between the complex and select hotels, as well as from the airport to the exhibition complex.

Buyer Badge: Pre-register via the Buyer Service System at buyer.cantonfair.org.cn and obtain a QR code to collect your badge. Present your passport and the QR code on site. Pre-registration significantly speeds up badge collection.

Visa: Most buyers enter on a business visa (M). Before traveling, check the current entry rules for China applicable to citizens of your country.

Opening Hours: Typically, the fair is open daily from ~09:30 to 18:00, with the final day closing at ~14:30.

Getting Around the Complex: The Canton Fair Complex consists of four zones — A, B, C and D. Covered walkways connect the zones, and free shuttle buses run during the fair. The total area exceeds 1.6 million m², so comfortable shoes and a pre-planned route through the halls are recommended.

Where to Stay: If you plan to visit the fair daily, the best choice is the Pazhou area or stations on Metro Lines 8 and 11, which provide quick access to the complex. Book early — hotel prices rise sharply during the fair.

Weather: During the autumn Canton Fair (mid-October to early November), temperatures are usually 20–28 °C. Days can be warm and humid, so light clothing is recommended, along with a small umbrella for occasional showers.
